INNOVATION STATEMENT

It's time we held innovation to a higher standard. Done for its own sake, it just leads to more landfill or the exacerbation of existing inequalities. The real value of innovation comes from re-centering society around capturing the potential energy of a more sustainable and just world for all.

PIVOTAL MOMENT

Post college, I went to a job interview for an entry-level role at an internet experiment called 24 Hours in Cyberspace but arrived to find the front door open and no one around. I was nervous and thought about going home, but ventured down the hallway and into a back room where I joined a curious discussion about using JPGs vs GIFs. The meeting ended up being my interview, the project ended up in the Smithsonian, and my career in design was unexpectedly unlocked.
